It's dark in here. Someone turn on the lights ...

Morning.  Looks like a day of installing new windows and cleaning the house.  Kids make a hell of a mess.  Maybe a ride today, but not looking good.  :-\

Do you ever rest?

Me?  I had yesterday off. Work was cancelled due to low enrollment.  I work every Saturday.  Tuesday through Sat is my work week.  Sunday is for me and Monday is for laundry, house work, and condo board stuff.

I'll be taking old lumber and shoring up the far end of my yard hole so that the road doesn't end up falling in it.

It's unfortunate that the hours have to piled on to afford to live anymore.  :P
I think the cavemen had it better, go out hunting or gathering for a few hours and then hang out in the cave for the rest of the day with friends and family. Sure they only lived 40 years or so but I think they packed more life into their lives.

You can lower your standard to increase affordability and keep more of your time.

It's a concept.

But you'd have to admit that even maintaining lower standards has become less affordable.
Part of my personal dilemma is that I'm helping others keep their households going as well and they're certainly not living "high on the hog" yet they're struggling hence the need for help.
BTW not complaining, I choose to assist and wouldn't have it any other way.
