It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

everbuddy funny!

okay the bike I bought was...... (don't laugh)

a race-prepped Yamaha YSR50.   :D

They're a hoot to ride and 6 or 7 of my friends race them in a series called M1GP.   [moto]

I've been told a number of times by friends that I push Rosie a bit too hard, too often.  Some of the more knowledgeable members here have told me that I'm pretty much at the limits of the frame, suspension, etc... of my '99 M750.   :-X  Who am I to argue with Duck-Stew, et al?

So I decided to go a different way...  Slow down a bit on the street with my Monster, and wring the snot out of the 2-stroke on the track.   [evil]  More fun to ride a slow bike fast kinda thing...

Also, since they were sold street legal when they first came out, I can register it for the street if I so choose...

That's awesome. I can see serious bodily harm coming from this choice.... [laugh]

I would add that while there are limits for our monsters we all reach them at a different speed...if you catch my drift. ;D

Ya, I get yer drift...   ;D

I started scraping hard parts, so I started getting my ass off the seat.  Then I started scraping stuff again, so I started hanging even farther off the seat.  Now I've got scuffed pucks, worn toe sliders, and ground shifter/rear brake levers.  Hell, I've even scraped my friggin' kickstand!   [roll]  It's hard work trying to keep up with those SBKs with my itty-bitty seven fiddy...   ;)  She's only got around 60hp. With Rosie, it's all about trying to keep up the corner speed...   [moto]

I can feel the front getting wonky sometimes, even after Speeddog did my suspension upgrade.  It's set for my weight and feels friggin' great up to that 9/10ths point, but then She starts getting a bit unsettled.  Even changed my tires from Dunlops to the Michelin Power Pures.  They stick like industrial strength velcro, but I think that's part of the problem.  They feel so planted, that they give me the confidence to to push harder and harder, and I don't even realize it until I'm dragging shit all over the place.

I guess long story short is, I need to slow my ass down on the street and get my butt to the track.  So, for $900.00, it was a pretty easy choice..   [moto]

Oh, and thanks for the Congrats!  ...and yes, bodily harm might ensue, but only if I try to keep up with the 13 year olds...   [laugh]  Apparently, there's this thirteen year old kid that just smokes everybody!   :o

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
