I'm a day late but yesterday (Feb 19th) was the 66th anniversary of the beach landing at Iwo Jima. The Marines lost 6,891 men and suffered over 18,000 casualties. Reports say there were only 22,000 Japanese soldiers on the island and that only 212 were captured. I've also read where the military had no idea the loss of life would be so great and withheld the KIA total until after the war. I've never served in the military but even 66 years later I am grateful to all who gave their lives and suffered injury in what was one of the deadliest battles of the Pacific. [bow_down]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

Well, my 21 day heath experiment is over. It was a detox program that friends had done. I have nothing to detox, so I did it to lose weight. It was some oxydrops in water twice a day, some pills, and a restricted diet.

I lost 9 pounds in three weeks.  My work pants now fit!  In order to make sure the pounds stay away, I will still limit the food intake and be drinking less then I did 4 weeks ago.
