We were supposed to get to 72 yesterday and only managed 60.

It was cold.

Today it's 51 right now and it isn't cold.

Have fun.

per company's rules, if you do a 'higher post' for an amount of time, your hr wage should be the one of the post your doing ... so be the end of today it's gonna be 16hrs of being boss[going to 'seat' as boss till Friday] ... so by end of this month i shall have a salary of 2350 in my bank account ...

After a few days of shoveling I think I will come close to the door containing my bike today.  Pics once I complete my "snow fort"  ;D

Just shy of NooNing.

Slept in today b/c of migraine.

Now fairly motivated.

Lasagna made for dinner, insurance quote requested, appt to see potential building scheduled.

Worky this evening.  Boring staff meeting cancelled.

How everyone's day going?

Mmmm....lasagna!

Just out of a volatile meeting.  Watched the dynamics between a few people whose frustration levels are pretty high with each other and the organization's leadership (who was absent).

I'm too new to have said anything other than "hey look, a chicken" when it got too heated and awkward.

Migraines no bueno!  Glad you're feeling better and productive!   [thumbsup]

I'm getting ready to give my insurance agent a beat down in 45 minutes.

He said "can you FAX it"

I said "I need to see you in person"

over lunch my freind and i devised a new twist to our standard "phoenixville triathlon"
This is the tri that i broke my tailbone at a couple of years ago. very non-traditional, but it does involve swimming and some running (mostly to get another beer)

instead of doing it in phoenixville, pa we are going to do it in Orlando.
one of the events will be making it down there. points for style and speed getting down there.
the trip down might also be turned into a scavenger hunt for the first event.

we discussed vehicle choice for getting down there and devised a converted school bus.
the back 10-15 ft will have the roof cut off and fake grass put down. he wants to install a smoker so by the time we get there the food will be done, but i think a gas grill would be more practical. you also wouldn 't have to carry a bunch of wood with you, though the idea of having someone chopping wood on 95 is hilarious. it should also lead to less time lost due to being pulled over for smoke coming from your vehicle. we could put a few bunks on the wall so people can sleep. was debating putting a picnic table in the back or a few lawn chairs so people can sunbathe along the way.

i have slightly more experience with this form of thing than he does, and i have none at all. if we can secure a bus that runs decently this should be very very interesting. though i suspect it's just another "wouldn't it be cool if" discussion.  :(
