Morning all !!!

Well my M620 is a mixed bag of beans ... If I only use 91oct AKI I get about 30kms/gl or about 18mpg and when I use 95oct AKI I get 40km/gl or about 25mpg .... Wife's Suzuki does on 95 about 11.9km/l or about 45km/gl or 28mpg ... So in my case, car gets better mileage  !!! go figure ....

On another note, watching F1 race ... just started

Golf TDI. 6 speed stick
The Salt Mine is taking my 4.0 litre LPG Ford Falcon away in a couple of weeks to replace it with something designed this century by Europeans.  The newcomer runs on diesel....  I'll reserve judgement until I drive it..... but the idea of a smaller capacity diesel engine isnt filling me with complete excitement (although having suspension will be an improvement).

depends on the driving
mine is 140 hp but 236 lbs ft of torque
in city driving it's fantastic because the torque can be used to just catapult me into any holes I see in the lane next to me in traffic. For spirited driving I usually short shift at 3000 - 3500 rpm or so and that lands me right on torque peak for the next gear, not really much need to wring it out to the 5000 rpm redline. If your driving consists of 100 mph + runs on highway that's where you be disappointed as it's up there that the acceleration starts dropping off. It will wind out to 120+ but up there is not it's strong area. That said, at 100 mph going up a hill, a Civic Si cannot pull away from me.  [thumbsup]

No 100mph highway driving for me. Highways is where you find  [leo] and I like to sleep in my own bed at night. City driving, freeway cruising and spirited back road hammering  ;D.

I just looked up my newcomer's stats:  2.0L turbo diesel with 120kW (161hp?) and 340Nm (250 lbs ft?) linked to a six speed dual clutch sequential automatic gearbox. Maybe it will be OK then.
