Don't feel too bad....Air Fraunce totally abandoned me at Naples Airport....delay delay delay....all make the beast with two backsing day Wednesday "delay"...

then when every other flight option out of there to a real airport had left.... they announced a cancellation

I choked a hotel room out of the one bastard rep they sent around finally....

hotel down on the water in Naples which is Italy's answer/sister city to Newark NJ or maybe Camden NJ (whichever is scuzzier)

had to get myself up at 5 AM to get to Rome by BUS to get out of Italy yesterday...Delta direct to the US...real seats, with space....people with brains and efficiency...

Well, you do win in the 'delayed' dept.  Int'l worse.  Although I've been trying to get home since noonish yesterday. From Jacksonville.

I can empathize...still shuddering from my hell too much to be able to sympathize quite yet... [laugh]

it was either a bus to Roma on my dime or 2 days in Naples waiting for an available seat on a flight out on any airline to any major hub

big garbage strike in Naples which added greatly to its "ambience" ...city blocks of garbage piled high and chorus lines of rats on top

Haven't the garbage strikes in Naples been going on for a year now? How has that city not buried itself already?!?
