Afternoon-ning.

Did something yesterday that I havent done for a long, long time....   I chucked a motorcycle down the road  :-[.

Amazingly, no serious damage to the bike.  Helmet and left boot are both a bit chamfered - but strangely not a mark on my pants or jacket.  A bit bruised and sore myself, but still in one piece and nothing snapped  :).

Worst injury is to my pride, I always considered myself an adequately skilled rider.... and that if I found myself in a.... situation.... I'd know what to do and how best to deal with it.  Truth is, I barrelled into a corner too fast... lost the back end BIG TIME... over corrected.... and the rest is a blur culminating in me sprawled out on the road trying to get out from under the bike.  Still trying to re-run that movie to see where it all went wrong and what I coulda done to get out of it better..... Anyway, no one to blame but myself.

Thanks guys.

Fortunately I was riding the DR, so repairs will be cheap.  The Monster would've gone round that corner at that speed no worries at all, but the DR is a bit of a wollowing pig.... and with dirt knobbie tyres.... I shoulda known better.
