I've experienced that need to just say make the beast with two backs it all, erase everything and start fresh.

Have you considered selling everything (that you don't need) and pulling a DanTheMan?  Couch surf across the country for a while?

that actually kinda is my plan.
the selling of stuff is already taking place.
it'll be a few months before i can pack it in and go as i would prefer to pay off my debt before i go.
so it'll probably be in the middle of winter when i'm faced with the reality of what i am about to do and freak out about it  [thumbsup]
