they were ahead of the curve in the early 90's
then the owners at the time rested on their laurels and got passed
the people who own it now are playing catch up and someone decided the answer should be to reinvent the wheel rather than bring what worked fantastically for a long time into the 21st century

they've always made things that are backwards compatible all the way to the mid 80's stuff.
We have a tremendous amount of their stuff installed in existed sites
The controllers have always been and still are very, very good with a very low rate of failure.
The problems occur when pushed to the highest level or on very big jobs plus the fact that the new way of doing it is much more time consuming.
They'll probably make it all better, just a matter of how long from now.

Morning, evening, did not drive wife to work today .. sent her on her own ... hopefully she remembers how to drive !!!

Will do some house work today: keep mattress warm, keep pillow used ... things like that ...
