I discovered a new expense today.

The trans oil check bolt on the 450 is totally stripped and someone glued it in place with rtv [bang]

I could A) grease up a drill and tap and tap it larger

Or B) do the right thing and drain the engine oil, trans oil, coolant, pull the clutch,  water pump, kick start lever and right side case cover so I can repair it by either tapping it larger or with a helicoil.

Battery is also toast, which I knew about.

B made his yummy short ribs for dinner.   [drool]  I made smashed taters and aperagas as sides.

We picked up a great bottle of CA Cab, rated 93pt for $11.99.  It's damn tasty.

Also got a turkey for thanksgiving.  You think 12lbs is big enough for two?   [roll]

Just finished up with class prep for tomorrow.   [thumbsup]

Bonus points if you know what rtv stands for without using the net to look it up ;)

Did not ride the 450 yet. The only way it would start is on the car charger set to 50amp start.

The idle is way off too. Think glowing head pipe.

Mike- couldn't get it going on the kick lever.

I got a smoking deal on a small amount of extra that a friend and DMFer had left over from building his house.

I think there'll be enough for the stair landing too. ;D
