It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

You headed east yet?

Not yet... My '02 Nissan pickup just hit 200,000K on Friday.  I'm going to take it into the shop for a checkup before I head out.

My first stop when I leave will be ABQ to hang with Duck-Stew and a few other DMF'rs. That might be Friday or Saturday.  :)

They'll scare the snot out of you looking over a 200K rig...

just have them check the oil...

what could go wrong?

I have compassion for most animals, just not cats.  :P

Common sense?  I have a 999... Not much common sense.  ;)

;D

It's a small family owned place that was recommended to me by Polpetta and Sac Duc. They take all their vehicles there.   [thumbsup]

The thing is, I know it has a few problems for certain that need fixing.  Oil leak from the rear main seal, so at least $6-800 there, and brakes.  Might need the valves adjusted, too. I haven't done much to it in the 160,000K that I've driven it, other than change the oil when I got around to it...

I wouldn't put a rear main in a 200K motor...but that's me.

I might have the brakes done...

if I ran out of them completely. [laugh]

Probably cheaper to dump in another lower mileage engine than fix a rear main [laugh]

Morning.

Tree is coming out of the box today.

Gonna also go out for a short one on the little ktm.

Ya, you may be right on that...

The brakes are pretty much done.

I can hear the left front scraping... :P

I've beat the shit outta this truck for 160K and it just keeps asking for more.

Time to get an estimate on what everything is gonna cost, then make some decisions.

Nothing like leaving everything to the last minute!   8)

That would be the required impetus to do the right thing and let the poor Nissan die an honorable death...

by apparent fire along the interstate.  [evil]
