A long weekend for me.   ;D  No worky today, none till monday.

We have our work holiday party at the store owner's condo sunday night.  Working on my ulgy xmas costum. 

Dry and sunny here today.

Got my hair chopped off this am.  I think I'm one of those people that isn't meant to have long hair.

I don't think I've ever seen you with long hair. I agree with you. You are likely meant to be a short hair variety.

The kitchen smells pretty good right now; we spent the morning cooking cajun in large quantities.



Four or five pounds of bacon and sausage joined equal amounts of seafood (shrimp, oysters & a whole lotta crabmeat), onions, green peppers & celery and big handfuls of spices in the jambalaya, there's a big crockpot bubbling away for red beans & rice, hush puppies cracking in the frying pan, and our friend who just moved here from Baton Rouge just dropped off three or four gallons of duck/turkey/chicken gumbo. Not sure what else will show up, but I've heard tell of beignets & dirty rice dressing. Even better than the feast, we're looking forward to this being the LAST of the fundraisers for our high school aged daughter's school trip to Cambodia leaving in just over a week...

Beautiful sunny Saturday.  Gonna be 30 today  8).   Perfect summer weather for the planned events......  early start to my  [Dolph] [Dolph] day....  meeting a mate of mine for lunch... then  [Dolph] home and load up the boys in the car to head off to Melbourne for tonight's T20 cricket match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder at the MCG.

Gotta love Colorado.

Earlier this week a guy on his horse IN a bar was causing a ruckus.  He, not his horse, got tased.

At lunch an hour ago, a team of 6 horses was pulling an extraordinary large wagon downtown Denver with a sign "we need hay".

Love it.

Maybe it's time the horses move out of downtown and out to the pastures. Especially if they can't behave.
