Merry Christmas all. Nice morning here in Seattle. The paper, the coffee, the tree, and the rice treats make for a great start to the day. Off to the in laws in a couple of hours. Big pork roast for dinner.

So my mother in law is here... and I have a story to share:

My MIL is trying to bake cheesecake.  Granted, her cheesecake is delicious.  But anyways, she has the oven all heated up and ready to rock and roll.  She says to me, "How do you set the oven timer for more than 10 minutes?"  So I get up, kind of confused, and walk to the oven to show her how to use the little up and down arrows to add or subtract time from the timer.  I show her how to set it at 1 hour.  She says, "Ok, but when you get to ten, it just goes back to zero." 

Trying my hardest to not sound condescending, "...These are hours.  Those are minutes."
