It's snowing.  No school today.   . There's an entire inch of snow out there.  And we might get a total of 3 inches. 

I know, I know, "think of the children and the possible discomfort."  What they really should be saying "think of the risk and liability of our insurers."

1" of snow?  We live in snow country!

i was 4 minutes late to work and HR attacked me 

If I got attacked for being four minutes late..... I'd need to wear a flak jacket every single day.  But.... my usual response to attacks of that nature is to point out that if they are so keen to count every petty friggin' minute that I borrowed from them, they can also count the make the beast with two backsING HOURS i give them for free and see if the ledger still looks worthy of mention  .   

Because they know they'd be worse off in a minute counting war, and also because they know that I will not be shy in pointing this well understood fact out (see above)..... Nobody ever mentions the irregular hours I keep  .

When confronted by unreasonable corporate wank, attack is the best form of defence IMO.

Whats the worst that can happen?
