I feel safer knowing you'll be 600 miles south. Grin

600 miles might not be far enough

More fires in Colorado.

We had thunderstorms roll through again, bringing lightning and more virga.  Ugh. Angry

The big fire up north by Ft. Collins is still raging.

The newish one near Colorado Springs is beyond out of control, and has been upgraded to #1 priority in the country.  12,000 evacuation notices for that one.

Stella fled the city for work.

I'm hanging with the crazy dags for a few days.

Thankfully we've got plenty of  drink leftover from visitors of a few weeks back.

Extremely scary, particularly the CO Springs fire.  65MPH winds forced that fire over a ridge and down into town.  I'm sure hundreds of homes will be lost tonight.  I don't know the particulars, but I believe that fire is still at 0% containment.  The other day (maybe yesterday) they said the fire line was moving 25-30 ft per minute.

We should be fine here in Denver.

And if anyone needs help, we've got space at our house.

32,000 people evacuated just from the Co. Springs fire.  Neighborhoods burned to the ground.  It's unreal.  Apocalyptic is how some near it have described.

I drove hundreds of miles today and you cant go anywhere without seeing or smelling smoke.

In other news, Bobs/Sybil's Papa has a cool new cat!    waytogo
