Greetings Mendo Dave.

Nice cactus.

Someone told me ones like that cost $10,000 each if you want them for landscaping even though they grow all over the place wherever its undeveloped. I guess its against the law to dig one up.

If you dug up a huge cactus and put in a redwood in its place... I'm pretty sure that...

some tree nerd would notice.

OIC, he had this on FB yesterday. I told him if he didn't put it on TOSAT this morning I was going to.

Speaking of trees. We have this big grove of eucalyptus down in Mendocino and they keep spreading like the plague. As much as I like them, its a bad Idea to be under them cause you know why. How do you keep them under control?

Time to go drag the propane tanks through 3 feet of snow to go get them filled.

Dragging them back into place when they're full is less fun.

Later.

Big branches break off suddenly one in a while and come crashing down from 75 feet up in the air killing or maiming mammals of all sizes and ruining cars and houses. Other than that they are great.

Be back later..

red baron

Birds are singing, looks as though the neighborhood hawk pair has mated and their eggs have hatched as I believe they're trying to coax their young to fly.

Cool morning fog is quickly burning off, should be a glorious day.

Wifey was talking about donuts all day yesterday, so before I'm off to the mtns I'll make a run so she has some this morning.  [thumbsup]
