I yelled across the street at the neighbor and asked if he thought it was raining. He says that he thinks it's raining too.

That kind of bike is all well and good until you drop it in the dirt in the middle of nowhere.
And you need help to get it back upright.
And you're riding by yourself.
All true.  I've struggled to pick the DR back up by myself when it was upside down in a ditch... the bottom of the wheels being the highest point of the bike...  It's a valid concern.   I guess the only way to mitigate that risk is to ride a Big Beast in more moderate terrain...

For my money I would go this route.
Thought about that.... it's heavier and more complex than the DR650.... so there are rides when it would be a more cumbersome handful.  And it's not got the poise of the boxer for long distance mixed riding of light to moderate dirtiness.

I think to depends a lot on what you are trying to do with it. Every motorcycle is a compromise.

Got my internet up and running, got Lucy a new dog bed, and then I went to Costco and bought a TV. Nothing big, a 32 inch Samsung. I am using an antenna and am getting about 40 stations. Maybe 10 that I will watch.

This is my first TV in over 10 years.

Watching football all day tomorrow!

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

32" is big enough if you have it close.

Glad you got a new TV!
