Must be spring. I went out side a minute ago and the grass did not crunch beneath my feet, nor will there be any need to scrape the windshield in the morning. My face didn't sting and my body didn't tighten up and shiver. The street outside was  not covered in ice as it was yesterday, nor did I feel the need to wear a thick jacket.

When I came inside there was no urgency to close the door quickly lest the heat fly out. The thermometer did not say it was below freezing, but instead indicated almost 40 degrees.

Yes it must be spring....

It was 62 last night at 8:30...

59 right now at 7:00am

it isn't exactly spring...

it's first mud season. ;D

Theres a little bit of mud going on around here. Not too bad yet.

Between what frost was in the ground and the heavy rain yesterday we have a pretty sloppy driveway.

I was on a dirt road last night and it felt like at least 3 tires were flat.

Only issue is things won't have a chance to flatten out before it tightens up again.

Looks like a winter with ruts.

Sounds like a truck with gravel is needed.

It will have to wait until next year.

The native gravel really isn't too bad, just a bit silty, and it gets soft when it thaws. It's what happens here.

It drains really well.

A few inches of ledge pack...1"-...will put it right.

It's only money.

Do they salt the roads there? Here they use crushed lava rock, which is better from a corrosion standpoint but not as easy on your winshield glass or paint finish.

Salt the roads? [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

A pic of a typical DOT salt shed...

Why do you think New Englanders buy classic cars from the south?
