Well...

the cost of fossil fuels is in flux these days.

Heating oil, along with gasoline, is priced unrealistically low due to circumstances we don't discuss here.

Propane is about 50 cents a gallon higher this heating season.

The design of the house, having no basement, drove part of the decision to use propane because heating oil can't be stored outside in our winters. That would require the use of kerosene which is priced even higher than propane.

I won't get in to the differences in btu/unit. the cost/ million btu, and boiler efficiency. [roll]

let's just leave it at I'm happy with the performance of the unit. ;D
