morning.

Carlos...don't piss anyone off. ;D
mmmmmmm, maybe, could be . . . but, that is actually my job . . .

There are a few apples on the tree that are rotten but have been here for a long time and tellong them to "hit the road" is too costly, so, I come in as new "COO" and start telling pwople what, when and how to do it and if they don't comply with the "first friendly request" it becomes an order, if then they do not comply with the order, they get to sign a note that states that on such date at such time they were in violation of their work contract/job description and that this note is a warning since second note will be a suspension without pay and that if this behaviour is repeated, a longer 3 day suspension will be handed . . . Since these guys think that this can't be done . . . BUT IT CAN, accordong to a few Labour Law articles . . . Their options are to be fired for NOT PERFORMING WORK ACCORDING TO JOB DESCRIPTION  . . .

Yesterday I made 3 guys sign each one of these memos; THEY HAVE BEEN WARNED

Only complaint . . . Coffee can't keep up with my demand . . . Owner called me this morning telling me he was bringing his old coffee machine from his office ti put it in mine . . .

Have fun with it...I guess. Not a job, or an employer, I'd have much to do with, but that's me, and as Joel said...I'm more than a little sketchy. ;D

Firefox just updated itself. Version 53.0.2

I don't use it much. With 5 tabs open it uses about 250MB which is a bit more than Safari with 8 tabs open.

That's the version that caused me to switch.

53.0.1 allowed you to choose whether or not to autofill passwords. 53.0.2 took that away.

I'll use Chrome.

I got tired of having to enter saved passwords because Mozilla decided I wasn't smart enough to protect my logins to sites that don't use https.

Firefox was hoggy, and had started to lock up on occaision, but in the Winblowz task manager I show 13 instances of Chrome for 9 open tabs. What's up with that?

The multiple instances are so if one tab crashes, it doesn't crash the whole browser.
And Java gets it's own instance, for example.
And other stuff, as well as sandboxing.

(Not that I actually knew all that shit, I just found this cartoon: https://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/med_00.html)

Hoggier than firefox...faster though, so I guess it's somewhat of a wash.

For some reason, FF couldn't run for more than a half hour without locking up.
Update and virus checking and more did nothing to prevent the lockups.

I couldn't definitively trace it to one website, though crash.net did seem to promote quicker crashes.
And from the Chrome Task Manager, I can see why.

Thats a cool cartoon. It would be nice to understand everything they were talking about.
It looks like a program like that could make good use of multicore processors to run all those threads simultaneously.

I'll have to run chrome and check out some of those features, I seldom open Chrome.

DarkMonster620

I only use Chrome and seldomly Opera . . .

Had Cannelloni for lunch . . . Now, I must make so.e at home . . . the taste of these was so generic . . . blah
