My humor was misplaced and unprofessional.  Apologies.  Hope Nate's  checkup comes back all good. 

Nothing intentionally punitive about this trial.   By Friday we'll have severed her legal rights to 4 kids and hopefully then get them adopted into safe families.  (The 11 yr old will be difficult due to the trauma and damage).

Morning.

Paula and I were discussing adoption (taking more kids, not giving ours up).

I was stunned at how many....large groups of kids need home. Not just one or two siblings, but four, five. That's....a lot of commitment.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

my worst record is 13.   we got 4 of them together.   All others scattered.

After my mom died, the not my day guy came to Buffalo, got me and my 3 sisters, drove us to Florida, and then put us in an orphanage. After just under 5 years there, he gave us to the state.

We were split up and have never all been together since.  My oldest sister ended up taking in 5 siblings from her druggie neighbor. She could not bare to see them split up. We were foster kids and now she fosters.
