None of that here!

First time in a very long time. It felt good.

Sleeping in has been great...other than the 7AM dose of medicine (over today).  Knee looks mostly normal again.

Had drinks with DrDesmo (Adam) and ducducgooseme (John) last night.

I found out that a nearly 22 year old gift certificate is still redeemable at Crate & Barrel today.  [thumbsup]

Also got a little bit more money (less than $100) from the company for pro-rate on employee lease vehicle that I turned in.

Soooo.........it's been a very long row to hoe lately. I've been reluctant to post.

Back at DIMBY time we thought Zeke had ringworm. Turned out that urgent care had misdiagnosed that, and it was Lyme's. We lost 10 days of antibiotic treatment because of that. Around the same time he had a routine ultrasound of his thyroid because of a genetic condition. That didn't go well. The report showed an enlarged thyroid, and nodules.

That got us a referral to Dartmouth. Unfortunately the PCP sent the referral to the wrong department so we lost about 10 days because doctors with an urgent referral just don't give a make the beast with two backs.

So we finally see an endocrinologist, and he says that he's not feeling what the ultrasound report indicated. I'm thinking...cool the kids OK. The doc orders another ultrasound.

Today we went back to Dartmouth for another ultrasound...same results.... Zeke has a 2.2 cm nodule on his thyroid.plus a hyperthyroid adenoma..

Not sure where I want to be... or what to think, but...

I think my kid has thyroid cancer...time will tell.

What's next.?..surgery?...most likely.

The joys of parenthood... [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]

If there is anything I can do to help, just say the word.

I think adulthood is realizing that there's not a make the beast with two backsing thing you have control of...and accepting it.

Double whammy.  Kinda speechless while holding back a rant about health care.

Our best for all three of you, and if we can do anything to help feel free to ask.

Popeye the Sailor

make the beast with two backs, sorry to hear it, Nate.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
