Woke up to news that a historic bandstand in City Park burned overnight (likely arson). They just announced the line up of City Park Jazz that plays there every Sunday in the summer. It's a big draw for families and others in the area.

And now the city and points north of here are covered in smoke from the 24 fire, which is burning SW of Colorado Springs.
(EDIT) Another source is saying it is from the fires in Nebraska. 
But I seemed to see them come in from the SW...but I'm no meteorologist.

But it was cooler today at 74*... [bang]

Is it difficult to use a call box at an apartment or condo building? A "veteran guy" is back out to do the water heater service today. Found him wandering in my hallway.  "I couldn't figure out the call box, some nice girls let me in..."  [bang]  [bang]  [bang]

And now he hasn't returned from getting equipment at his truck...

But he left his iPad on my balcony.
