I was here on Wednesday:

My dad and his brothers have their names on barrels at the Makers Mark distillery. They'll each get a nice bottle of their barrel (combined with 6 other barrels I believe) in a couple more years.  [thumbsup]

It was a pretty cool tour.  The bourbon wasn't bad either.  Got to sample some right out of the barrel - 130ish proof!!  Damn good stuff.

Here are a few more pics:

130?

Is that enough to run an engine on?

So I picked up my new (to me) couch today.

Sectional.

Replaces the one the wife took with her.

It was priced right, but unfortunately the long side would not maneuver into position to go down my basement steps.

It's a matter of geometry.

Anyone guess how I solved this dilemma?

That's right!  Those of you who guessed "Take a Sawsall to the couch" would be 100% correct!!

Stand on end.

Sawzall to make a chair for you and a pet bed for the dog! [evil]
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

I considered pictures.

But, I'm already redneck enough for doing it and posting about it without visual evidence [laugh]

Actually, it's going back together a lot faster than it came apart.

There were like 150 staples to pull to get the fabric back to expose the wooden innards.  Those go in a lot faster than they come out.

I think it's going to look just like it should after I get it all together :D

Whew.  What a day.   [drink]      Now I'm better!

I am in teacher training all weekend and it is kicking my ass.  We had to teach sections today and be observed by the class with only 15 minutes of prep on new material.  I did well, but I get nauseous and want to hurl after I am done.  More of the same tomorrow, but this time I know the material (Adult AED) and it is hands on, not lecture.

I've really never been good in front of a bunch of people.

Unless I'm serving as a bad example ;D
