Is there a class the 750 would be competitive in?
Vintage riders on classic bikes? ;D
Could've always put some floppy ears on it and raced down at the dog track.
Nate'd look good as a dog jockey.

Silly boy....

dogs don't have jockeys.

How could they stop in mid race and take a dump?

The Wood brothers turn sub 1:20s on a stock 750/800.

That's competitive.

There are several classes....

I could enter Formula 40...for instance.   [laugh]
Do they just take the brakes off?

Don't think so.

I was doing mid 20s ish.

You weren't that far behind, although we never got to ride together other than that one day I instructed.

Is there a list anywhere of typical times for different classes on different tracks, for comparisons sake?
When I do end up on a track, I'd be curious how far off the pace I am.

You could go to LRRS, or WERA sites and see.

LRRS has an archive of results...http://www.lrrsracing.com/race.htm
edit...

You can also check the tracks site.

They list times sometimes too.

I suppose having the bike being able to move under it's own power might be some to be thinking about before that though.  [laugh]

If I get around to it today, I'll be building an extension coming out from that work bench so that the bike can be worked on from both sides.

Keep in mind....

Track day times hardly ever match race times...

you're not supposed to be turning wheels in anger at a track day. ;)

They don't give plastic trophies.... [laugh]

But I know me.
Once I get comfortable with it, then I wouldn't able to stop myself from pushing myself harder.
Maybe even a bit too hard, hence why it's a good thing that this bike won't have overwhelming power.

There are some track day orgs that will send you home...

if you get too aggressive.

Trust me, the lack of power will not keep you upright.     ;)
