What happened on Mother's Day?

my appy= yummy!  did a lil'steak au poivre en crute... easy peasy

dinner was supposed to be potato crusted swordfish steaks, stuffed w/crab and roasted red pepper.

mistake was made in breaking in a new pan, so I wasn't sure how the heat conducted on it, potatoes were make the beast with two backsed.

damage control managed to get me a lil' bit of pan searing on the fish, and everyone like the fennel salad that went with it, but I was pissed.

and the wine I picked was make the beast with two backsing fabulous, too   latour's pouilly-fusse

lol, hardly... been in the kitch since about 10 or so... I just cook. and lovelovelove to eat 

OTOH, if I had known I was going to drop out of pre-med, I'd have taken plan B, which was culinary.


and sure! if you're ever on the rock, there's always time for a desmotropic throwdown  elTristo's handy in the kitch as well

You don't need a cage to dive with sharks.  I've been diving with sharks for 18 years, never once in a cage and never once had an incident.     Although one moronic dive master I was with in Bora Bora recently nearly lost his thumb trying to "feed" sharks a bit of tuna.  Moron deserved what he got.  Sharks are amazingly intelligent and predictable IF you know what you're doing.

I love the trade, but hate my boss... so, y'know... I'll never cease to be amazed by seeing shit getting chunked out of metal billets  

OTOH, 1/16" is like... inconceivable to me lol

dinner! help!

we got this really nice mushroom brie at the shop (er, wine shop, not machine shop... it's the night job) and I was thinking to stuff a pork tenderloin or something to that effect.

need starchy stuff and greeny stuff to round this out.

doing a rice would work, it's summer, and light, but seems kinda boring.
