Every so often, our puppies go a lil nuts and start barking like loons. A few days ago I was upstairs folding laundry and I hear the dogs start to go off. I then hear a knock at the door. I poked my head out our bedroom door so I could get a look at who was knocking. I see a kid dressed like he's going to basketball practice standing there for a brief moment, then he heads across the yard to our neighbors house. I then see a couple of young girls across the street, going door to door. They were dressed kinda the same as the kid that was at our door.

We live kind of close to a high school and a jr high, so it's not uncommon to see lots of kids around, and every so often they knock on doors asking to help out with raising funds for band and such for the schools.

I didn't think anything of it until this morning.

This poor lady lived a few blocks away from us, and it makes me wonder if it was the same three.

Lack of proper parenting.... Lack of self worth and a lack of respect for self and others.

The 40 through AZ is really boring...

That is all. 

It's more fun in winter when they close it for snow & wind. I had a fun time there last January when we were headed East & the elevation and weather change meant that it was OK to run the 75 mph speed limit right until it wasn't. Had a fun time slaloming past half a dozen suddenly spinning vehicles; the pickup truck that was discharging coolers, tents, camping gear, clothing, etc. in 360 degrees was the most fun.

Add to that the fact that so many people have lost the relationship between actions and consequences.  So many people think they can just go about their lives without ever being held accountable for what they do.

it's kinda funny how in a world full of cell phones, instant net access and a multitude of other things designed to make the world more connected..... the more disconnected we seem to get.

just talked to him... He's stopping for fuel, then hitting the home stretch. He should be there in a few hours.
