+1 for DP's head bangin'

You are a terrific friend, Stella.   [thumbsup]

So applied for a position on Saturday....they got back to me today for an interview!!!!

I'm so excited and scared at the same time.....

It's only a temporary position and it doesn't pay well (plus a 2hr commute), but the experience would be awesome....

Please keep all fingers and toes crossed....

When you don't have a job or a project like me, it's easy schmeezy to help your friends out - and they're worth it anyway.   [thumbsup]

How temporary is temporary?  I suppose knowing it's shorter term will help with the commute.  Sounds super promising!
Good luck!!!!!!

Two hours one way.....

I have friends in the area so i maybe able to rent a room/crash somwhere during the week.

It's temporary in the way that the current job holder is out on medical leave, it is unclear when/if he will return.   :-\

I would then have to reapply if the position becomes perminately open.

Huh.  Sounds like deal to me.  Good work experience pays off in the long run when you find a killer job down the road.

I would then have to reapply if the position becomes permanently open.

At least you'll know at that point whether it will be worth the commute and the need for home-away-from-home digs
(even though it sounds like it).

I second "DK's" approval.   ;)

That is all.

I can relate to that.

Anyone want to buy a custom painting/tank repair business?

Current owner frustrated and unmotivated.

Cheap.

Apparently it still is. ;)

Checking in captain.  Been cleaning a(nother) friend's house who's in need.  Happy to do it but tired of having friends with serious health issues.  His place is dirty AND messy.  But not for long.   [thumbsup]

You are a good friend, indeed.  (I also knew that before this from FHE.)  [thumbsup]

Sitting at a friends house whose water line broke the night before he left for China.  Lots of fans, de-humidifiers, etc. being hauled in.

Do you deliver?
And tutor?
Does it come standard with frustration and lack of motivation or is that the buyer's responsibility?

Uh, that bites!  Been a lot of that going on lately.  Nice of you to be there for him!   [thumbsup]

I need to skate back to my own friend's place and finish his laundry, clean the fridge and bathroom (major ICK) and figure out how the heck to remove layers and layers of very old grease splatter from the stove and microwave.  (All of which is beginning to make me think could be a source of his cancer!)

Suggestions welcome.  Murphy's oil soap didn't work.  Formula 409:  nada.  SOS pad will scratch the face of the micro....  Sand blaster maybe?

Edit:  This is the solution to that caked on grease!  Thanks Bicks!   ;)

Took my (fingers and eyes crossed) *last* exam this morning.
Brutal.

I'm still kind of bleary eyed from the whole thing.
Anyway, I think it's time for  [drink], but just one, until I get results.
