That whole range - 916/996/998 - all just seem a little dated to me now.  :-\

I can't disagree with you.  They're great bikes, no doubt.  Finding a nice one is getting harder as time goes on.

Hey ML, I got your pm and will reply with details soon.

But, the short version is the '05 base model has the '04 "S" motor in it. 140hp!  :o

It's loads more comfortable than the 996/998/848/1098/1198

I regularly do 200-300 mile days in the twisties on it...   [evil]
