maybe burning some brush we gathered yesterday
(so many limbs & branches down this winter)
maybe going on a hike up the mountain
im hoping it will be nice enough to have a cocktail on the patio later while we grill kabobs

Dogs walked. Having some coffee-turned on the heated floor. Toasty feets.  8)
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Electricity-easier to retrofit. Heatizon makes a subfloor element one can nail through, which works well for hardwood floors.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Electricity is way too expensive here to even consider it.

I really have it for those days when it's too cold in the house, but not cold enough to warrant a fire. Today should be 68 degrees, so building a fire now would be a waste of wood.

I just let the wood fire simmer...it might get to 45 today.

Not really without building a dam and the state won't have that.

I could do a hydraulic ram type pump and pump water over a wheel...I see a great Rube Goldberg in this. ;D I can't see using anything 12v for a source for heat though. If photo-voltaic becomes more cost effective I will consider running the solar radiant with it. Free heat and h/w would be nice.
