morning.

I haven't planted anything yet.  My garden area is a swamp.  I had to create a trench down the middle to help drain the area.

I have a few excuses as to why I haven't planted anything:

1. Black flies.
2. Mosquitoes.
3. Too much rain
4. Too much mud.
5. Worried we might still get frost.
6. Rock in my shoe.
7. Sun in my eyes.

Those are all valid reasons?

Wind.

But that aside, my car was the victim of a....... "loose connector".

shit happens, that could very well have just been it unless it had something else they didn't want to admit to

Tell me bout it ... upon teaching the guys here with the Bosch KTS540 and how to use it correctly; here as in the whole of LatinAmerica, "techs" think that what the OBD diag tool says is the law ... You have to know how to interpret what the OBD dias tool is saying ... And yes, 'white lies' always come to the rescue and bsing the customer ... this  [bang] me off!!!

also those tools can't get to everything, that's why I'll be getting VAG-COM at some point

Well the KTS will get to 95% of everything ... Is the most complete aftermarket OBD diag tool I've seen, not that I work for them but, I have worked with a lot of OEMs and the VAG-COM and the difference between these two is less than 1% in functionality ...

A loose connector, six hours in the finding no less.

Or it took them that long to think of something....

I can believe the loose connector story:  Tests OK one moment....  fails the next...  often much harder to diagnose and locate than a component 100% failure.

Coulda been worse.  Coulda happened on a weekend  ;D.
