On another issue, why wont my printer print pdf files? I run XP Pro and printer is a Canon  iP1300 ... thanks

When it doesnt print the PDFs... what does it do?  What driver are you using?  You'd think that the most appropriate driver when printing PDFs would be a postscript diver... but in my experience you get least grief when running PCL.  If your printer is GDI... you may be rooted.  

Another thing you can try is this:
from your PDF file select "file > print" and within that dialogue box click the "advanced" button.... and then tick the "Print as Image" box.  That often resolves PDF printing peskiness  .

Let me know if you're still having problems.

Three total, not five.  Mine is fine.  Feline and canine have/had...ickoration.... issues.

One of my kids had a diaper accident this morning. 

Big blow out of epic proportions...  I didn't know that much shit could fit inside a two year old body...   Trying to keep the other ones away while trying to cleanup was interesting. 

Like they say...  Shit Happens.
