I am trying to remove the adjuster link for the rear on my 04' s4r.  Now I am pretty good mechanically but I have been know to break anything plastic.  So the stupid question is, "How do I get the dam plastic plugs out that cover the rear shock/link bolt?".  The plugs are on either side of the swingarm and they cover the bolt head and the nut but I cant tell if they pop out or is they twist out.  Any tips so I don't break the damn things?

The plug on the right side is rubber, you can persuade it out rather easily.

Leave the left one in, there's no need to take it out for what you're doing.

Got it now thanks.  Stupid rear adjuster is so damn corroded I still can't adjust it.  I am thinkin a little, a very little, heat may be required but I am gonna try some other things first.

Soak the ends with penetrating oil (PB Blaster is good stuff).

Apply some heat with a heat gun, don't use a torch.

The end of the pushrod with the grooves in the hex is LEFT HAND THREAD.
