How do I attach a picture to my post?

So, as the topic says, help a messege board noob out, please. I've found the "Insert Image" button but can't figure out how it works...... Probably very simple but need help.....

no worries, I had to start up a Picasa album, which was fairly simple since I already had a GMail account
