Quick someone post up the video of Sheryl Crow's cover of Sweet Child O Mine. I seem to recall that got voted worst metal cover of all time on MTV.

I imagine the guys in Duff's band are muttering repeatedly under their collective breaths, ""I'm sorry Pete, I'm sorry Pete, I'm sorry Pete" over and over and over again until the pain of shame loosens it steely grip on their souls long enough for them to play the song and get paid. And if they had any self respect left, they would spend that money on flowers to put on Keith's and John's graves.

Duff on the other hand has no soul and is not affected.

You see you cant really blame the entertainers (musican is too revered a word for what they are) for butchering these classic songs. The blame totally rests with the musicians in the backing bands. If they refused to play the music, the entertainers could'nt sing them.

musicians need to work, too.

the fans should flame the musicians online and quit buying tickets.

God, don't they playback their practice sessions?????
Frickin' snow!

I think Eric Clapton's From the Cradle Tour may be the only cover act i've paid money to see. But he was good. The hacks in these YouTube vids, no so much.

I dont think they playback the practice sessions. If they did, they'd think twice about what they're going to do.

On the other hand, your right, musicians need work too.

Holy crap that was terrible!!! Now if you are going to redo someone elses song, take some notes from Richard Cheese as he puts his own spin on Disturbed "down with the sickness" This cracks me up everytime I hear it.

Stuff like this is cool in a Steve and Edie kind of way.

The difference from the others above is cheese is trying to be cheesy.    :D

Hillary Duff actually thinks she is rocking out!       Too bad I'm headbangin' to drown it out...    [bang]
