hello,
i'm not sure i want to do the chop kit. i'm considering the DP short tail in carbon. does anyone have one on their bike? if so, would you be so kind as to post some pics. and would anyone know where i can get one at a reasonable price?
thanks

If you love your bike, set it free. If it comes back to you, you've probably high-sided.

oooh, that looks nice! thanks ducducgooseme! i was starting to think no one had fitted this rear to their bike. looks sweet... and i was wondering if it was short enough to give it that look.
i like the paint job and the ducati letters. that's not the stock paint right?
are those rizoma blinkers? did they fit right into the DP rear or did you have to modify?

There are lots of people out there with them who don't wat to chop the tail. I had to put some little squares of sticky-backed IZ_ stuff used for furniture feet under a few parts to keep it from scraping the frame when tightened down correctly but they don't show. Just watch that so you aren't scraping paint.

One problem with the short tail that I have is that it flops around a lot with the stock signals. I solved this some p-clamps and zip-ties, though.

Yeah, at the time I used Rizoma signals. I now have Oberon. The Rizoma were garbage and had condensation in them.
Paint is custom.

Thanks for the pic of the carbon cover. I don't want to chop the Tricolore, plus when I put the Termi kit on I don't want it to look too short in back. The carbon cover looks like a good alternative. How much was the kit?

Couple of questions for those who have the DP short tail...
Does it come pre-drilled for blinkers?
Could you use the short tail with an integrated taillight without looking like you are missing something?
Thanks.
