From a Ducati sales person;

Re my 07 S2R 800 upgrade from the 05 620 Dark;

"you'll love the 6 speed on the 800 much better than the 5 speed on the 620"

My response 'You mean my 620 was the only 6 speed they made?  Hell I want it back'

Dumb ass either forgot or had a brain fart, the 620 with a 5 speed only had a single front disk and that was in 04!

Have to admit listening to his boss rip him a new one, about looking stupid infront of a buyer was the second highlight of my day.  The first still belonged to the ride home on the new bike!

Mods coming for the 800, new rear suspension to handle my weight, and a new frontend off an S4R.

Not sure where the brain fart is. The red 620i.e. that I bought new in 2002 was only a 5 speed, and had dual front discs......

I was thinking the same thing at first.  My yellow 2003 M620 came with 5 speed and duel front discs.  After thinking about it for a bit, the M620 Dark did come in a 5 speed and a single larger front disc in 2004.  The Dark version was the more "basic" version of the Monster family. laughingdp

I had a person ask me today "so how hard is it to ride 200+ with that little fairing?"  I responded "after it goes past 190 a bright pink full fairing folds out of the gas tank"
