Dude. Doesn't surprise me one bit. I had to get bar-ends.

Didn't you end up getting some Rizoma-esques?

When I still had my stock mirrors, my right side mirror would fall down.   They did replace it under warranty.   I would go back to your dealer and explain to them whats going on.  They will probably replace it.  I went to bar ends as well and they work about 5000 times better.

My mirrors were always loose before I replaced them.

i did bar end mirros, but the bar ends i got didn't work with them. so i'm stuck until i can get the bike to a dealer and get things worked out.
i'm gonna try and hit the local dealer with the mirror issue soon.

My left one fell off, it was replaced under warranty.

They have changed the design on the replacement. Mirror looks the same just how it attaches to bike is different, no crush washer and a longer stem.

had both mirrors replaced by dealer.

i kept tightening the left one until it no longer worked.  dealer replaced it citing "a known issue" then noticed my right mirror needed to be replaced as well.  thank you dealer.

I really wish there was a dealer near me who wasn't an arrogant asshole.

Every time I go in with a question they indirectly tell me I'm an idiot.

The left oem mirror was useless on my 2010 696, no matter how much adjusting I did I could never see anything out of it. I just replaced the oem mirrors with bar ends, and it's sooooooo much better.

the insert in the mirrors was too short leading to overtightening and eventually breaking of the mount.

they revised it, replaced them free for me.

if you are having issues on the 1100, basically an always loose flappy mirror no matter how much you tighten.. eh it's got the bad mirrors.

I had the same issue with my right mirror. A crack near the screw. Spoke to my local dealer, they need me to come in so they can assess it before I can qualify for a replacement. I ordered the mLabel bar ends. There is definitely a design flaw here.

^^ Rizoma Class Retros.....  applause The best mirrors I've ever used (if you really want to see where you've been).
