out as a participant, in-laws are visiting.  Might bring my father-in-law up to spectate if he's interested.

he just called...he's interested!

Has anyone else been run over by a go-kart?

Is everyone running level 3?  I think I'm gonna run the motard because it's a little less effort to throw it around in the heat.  I'll move up to level 3 if I don't throw a chain the first session.

See you all on Sunday.
Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

I signed up for 2, because I don't know the track well yet, and because I haven't been riding. If it feels slow I might see if I can get them to bump me up to 3.

Sounds like a bunch of psychos will be in L3.  I'm dropping to L1 for self preservation.  :)

I'm in.  8/3 L3.  So much for taking the summer off.

that was always a silly idea.  =)
Like this is the racing, no?

After Fresno for two weeks, Streets will be like a cool dip in the pool...

Hey Gang, do we have to race tie the oil filter and plug for this session?

I know that Fastrack was going to make it a mandatory (very soon), but is that for all clubs?

They don't ask for it explicitly on their site.  From what they do list, I don't think you need to.  However, as a fellow rider I would appreciate it if you did wire up your filter and plug.  :)

  • Bolts and Fasteners: You should give your bike a once over before coming to our events and make sure that everything is secured and tight.

  • Oil: Make sure that your bike's oil level is full and drain plug is tightened.

Here's the entire list under "Tech Inspection":

MOTORCYCLE TECH INSPECTION:

Excellent condition near new tires

No excessively oily or leaky machines will be allowed on track.

Good brakes.

Remove or tape mirrors.

Disconnect or tape over brake light.

Taping over or removing headlights and turn signals is recommended.

Looks like its gonna be a warm one tomorrow!  No worries about tire temps.

See everyone in the AM.

SteveG, still need an address.

think it was probably still warmer 6/20.  not that it'll be cool... =)

really great day!  hardly anyone in the A and B groups.  toward the end of the day there were maybe 5 or 6 riders in A.  usual plenty of crashes but no one we knew.  some poor guy stacked his new 1098...  :-(

definitely really hot but in the shade, and with the usual wind, not so bad.

CaliPhotography looked like they got a handful of decent shots.. but really, at this point, they all look the same.  maybe the new "aesthetic" shots will be revolutionary...  [laugh]

that said, looks like i'm getting about as far over as you can in T3...  :o

My tires are shagged and I was riding like Nancy Boy.

You all looked like you were getting after it from the coolness of Lester's coach!  He stopped riding because his tires were shot.

Note to self, never do a track day in August again! [coffee]
