Can anyone with experience at this track share the low down on the sweeper? It's pretty much impossible to do the 'roll on the gas through the turn' thing with the hook at the end of it. Last time I was there I was treating it as a double apex turn, but I'm really not sure if that's the right way to go about it or not...

The Off Ramp just plain sucks. Tight enterance increasing radius turn with (at least last time I was there) a horrible patch in the middle. Never really figured out what to do with this one.

There's a great wheelie bump on I-5 between the Off Ramp and Cotton Corners.

There's another great wheelie spot between Grapevine and Club Corner.

The kink on the far side of the Bus Stop is where I did in my finger and R6.

After I wrote this I found this: http://www.unofficial-afm.com/bwillow.html
He makes it sound kind of dreadful with all the bumps and head shakes and such, but remember he's talking about a pace a notch or two above what we'll be running Smiley

I've only ridden Buttonwillow twice, but I did get the low down on the sweeper courtesy of Steve Metz.

It is somewhat of a double apex...enter mid track or slightly inslide, but not tight.  Tighten up along the turn untill you just kiss the inside at apex.  Roll on throttle to dift to outside of curve...now watch the pavement...there is a long skinny black streak that stretches out a long way...you should be following it along at this point...all of a sudden the streak stops, there is a break of a about a foot and then there is a black square capping off you squiggly friend.  When you hit that black square, make sure you are all set to go, because that IS your turn in point.  Give a nice firm steering input and hold on.  You should just skim the inside candy striping...power out and you'll find yourself to the outside candy striping all ready to enter the esses.  Good times!
