well this is one of the mods i was wanting first on my bike!! and it looks like its gonna end up being one of the last mods i will do...

hopefully i will order my new levers by the end of this week...

the reason i haven't ordered them yet is because i keep going from one lever to the next lever to the next.

first it was the pazzos then the crg's then the pazzos then the crg's and then finally i was all set to get the asvs. that was it!!! the asv's!!! all the pics! all the research! all the staring! and finally i decided i was going to go with the asv's. i really, really loved the look of them. then that all changed last week when i got to see a set installed on a bike in person. i was very disappointed to say the least. in person they didn't look that great, and they seemed to look the cheapest of the three. but hey thats just my opinion and i don't mean to offend you guys that have the asv levers. i just don't want them on my bike...

so now its back down to the crg's and the pazzos.

personally i like the crg's the best. they look the coolest & they look like they are the nicest. the problem is i don't like the color combo they make them in. i don't like the silver perch and i don't like the red adjuster.

so that is why i am leaning towards the pazzos. yeah the still look good and they offer them with a black lever, black perch, and a black adjuster.

so i think... i am getting the pazzos...

i said i think...

So I take it if I run a "short" lever on the clutch side it would harder to pull the clutch in ?
It depends on the clutch.
Does it look weird when you have a short lever on the clutch and a normal sized lever on the front brake ?
IMO: Yes.

if I were to do it again I'd do short brake and normal clutch.   sport riding is no biggie, but in slow traffic I'd prefer long clutch so I could do three fingers but still short brake.

its technical leverage....if you arent using the outside of a regular length lever, a short one isnt going to make it any harder since your still reaching for the same area.

Ive been trying to go for a short lever for ages now, since i lane split and on more than 5 occasions the brake lever has gotten caught on the side of a truck and my nuts got slammed into the tank.

I take it back...my MTS levers aren't ASV, they're made by CNR. I didn't think ASV sounded right.  Tongue

the reason i haven't ordered them yet is because i keep going from one lever to the next lever to the next.

so i think... i am getting the pazzos...

Try the CNR ones. I didn't like the red only adjusters on the CRG's...at least not on my MTS (the red matches on the 848). CNR makes all black levers (lever, mount, switch, everything), which is what I have.

I have no idea of ^^ retailer...I got mine at Ducati Seattle. They're just as nice as the CRGs...basically just knock-offs.

I went through the same issue and got the ASV's    I think they look the best out of the three, but opinion is subjective.  The milling and the logo on the front is very nice.  Also the micro adjustment wheel is awesome. I would post some pics but camera doesn't work. BTW I have the black ones with red adjuster.

lol - I sure know that  feeling... i did the same lever run-around....  I too love the look of the ASVs.... but in the end I went Pazzos coz the Pazzo clutch lever has the... um... little dick that dangles down to operate the 696's clutch interlock microswitch and ASVs do not.

Here's my Pazzo long uns>>

Nice lookin' bike you got there BTW mrplease  waytogo

what do you mean when you say the asv's don't have the clutch interlock microswitch?

there is a little tab that hangs down and pushes in a little microswitch. its so you can start the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in. not a HUGE deal but its nice to have.

i had talked to robert morales, the owner of ASV and he assured me that they fixed that problem on the newer levers and they did not have that problem any more. i told him i heard about this problem on the forums and i was concerned about it. he said they redesigned it for the 696 and he personally went to the ducati dealership and tested them out on the 696, and they work fine now. i'm just going by what he told me...

but then after i bugged him for a few weeks about this, i go and change my mind on the asv's... well maybe...

I don't know...I only included the link so you could see what they looked like.

Call Sonny at Ducati Seattle...he can tell you what they have in stock for your bike, and how much they cost. I couldn't find an internet link for these levers listing Ducati (in my 30 seconds of searching  cheeky).

I have 999 levers, but you need new masters for them to work.  They might be the same MC as some of the newer monsters.
