These are the gloves I ride with.
What can I say, they're comfy!
Stacey and Clinton would so disapprove! You're not allowed to wear anything that is comfy!
This thread had me reminiscing about those few days of instruction at the MSF class. What a pleasure it was to meet Kawboy, trading paint with him on the corners, watching him doing stoppees and endos in the box while I Jorged on Turn 1 when we practiced the large figure eights. By Day 3, we were old hats, droppin a knee while taking the cones. Droppin a foot when we came in from our practice laps. Beginner MSF was so entertaining, can't wait for the Intermediate class. Yeah. They stuck me on a semi dirt bike that had fatboys at both ends and you were on that massive 250 cruiser all laid back and bad looking and exactly the wrong position to maneuver a bike around a figure 8. I don't know how you did it but you did.
It must have been like trying to maneuver a recliner around. I didn't even have the Roadrunner at that time.
I don't think they have an intermediate class. I believe it is an advanced class where you use your own bike.

Forget that! If I'm using my own bike, it might as well be a track day. Duc's and tight parking lots are natural enemies.
About that 250 they gave me, it was at least as manueverable as the CB750 I barged around on before I got the Duc. Probably 300 pounds lighter, too.
Yeah, those were some good times.

Ah yes...I remember those days. My first time taking it in '91 was fun. Don't remember much other than being told to stop making the new riders look bad. That little 250 was toooooo much fun. Couldn't seem to get it fast enough in corners. I took it again in Honolulu in early '07 on my McNinja (f*ing military rules). There, you have to use your own bike (MSF and Hawaii DMV didn't agree on a few things). This young lad on a 250 Rebel was having SUCH a hard time with the whole clutch-throttle bit. Seems the friction zone eluded him a bit......
Ah...memories (sniff).
