My 07 S4Rt has a slow leak coming from the rear shock. The oil is coming from what appears to be a ball type bleeder behind the adjustment nob. The bike doesn't even have 500 miles on it yet. I had what i would consider a minor accident involving a low side. Long story short, I slid on a pile of spilt gravel and slid about 10 feet on the clutch side. The shock did not take any direct impact as far as I can see. My bike slid on the bar end, water pump cover, shifter peg and slightly on the edge of the tires.

I am not too familiar with this rear shock and what needs to be done next. Maybe being on its side might have done something to allow the pressure to release causing this? I can't believe that it would need to be replaced after such little abuse. I have done much worse to rear shocks in the past doing stoppies, and never this. I have not done any on this bike.

Any help would be appreciated.

take it to the dealer.  with only 500 miles i would assume you still have some warranty

I had the same issue.  that Piece of shit  sach rear shock started leaking, caught the bike on fire and I had to set it down, luckily I was at a buddy's car wash and got the fire out quickly.  Long story short I had found a couple other people on the internet that had their sachs shock start leaking so I made this known to the dealer. everything that got damaged was replaced and an s4rs ohlins shock was installed No charge to me.  The bike was 1month old and had 1000 mi on it.

Thanks for the replies so far. When I say clutch side, I am refering to the clutch lever side of the bike. Sorry about the confusion.
