Let's see some more new gen Monsters!

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Why?  They're ugly.
And your home furnishings are apple crates? ;D Guess you prefer parts bin bikes...

Actually, my home furnishings are a mixture of Afghan, Belgian, English, German and Ugandan, all purchased at their origin.  And yes, I prefer parts bin bikes over bikes whose front ends look like they've been punched in the face.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Bought dinner last PM for a pal who was passing through Virginia. He was the Cagiva Eastern Regional Sales Manager and was and responsible for the first Monsters coming here. According to him, only those first ones were original. Those which followed were mostly parts bin.

He quite liked my 796 "Pantah" which comes from a wind tunnel, not cardboard boxes. Fact is, the face works. It would be cooler if it looked more like a 748, but it doesn't and probably can't. Form follows function in this case. I'd like a derived M796 ST personally...

So maybe preface your comments in future with IMHO? Do you even RIDE a Ducati anymore? 8) For "retro" I own a T-100.

No doubt a nice, eclectic jumble you have there. Mine's mostly period Sheraton and Chippendale yew and walnut respectively and mostly from Bath or Oxford.

It means that most of the parts, from the factory, on the "old" monsters aren't specific to that bike. For instance, the factory might take left over forks from a different year or model and fit them to the current offering. As long as it "fits".

Although the poster to which you are referring to can quite easily hold his own............. All of our comments on this forum are by default IMHO ( which only need be IMO ....  ;D )

And yes, his Ducati is quite a nice one made from lots of parts bin pieces.    [Dolph]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Raux

was trying to see where that all came from...

bagging on the new monster...  >:(

Which is why they are monsters. Think Frankenstein's monster. In contrast the new Monsters are purpose built although I think they do share some parts with the 848.

That being said the new monsters are probably a better motorcycle overall.
