A few years ago I would have completely agreed with you.   Wink  Not any more.  Now all I have to do is wait for the prices of used hypers to come down so I can add one to the collection.

I know I need help.   bang head

Actually the theory was I pickup the 748 and sell the monster.  I can't bring myself to do it.  It would be like selling an old friend.  We need the money but I can't do it!!!!!

No they're just the stock forks.  In that pic, it's sitting under  a tree in a narrow alley.  I guess w/ majority of the light coming from the front of the bike it just makes them look shiny.

I like what you did with the front fender.  Are the fender and brackets from a GT 1000?

Yeah it's from a GT 1000.  I really liked the lines of the brackets and thought they went well w/ the frame.  The fender itself is a wider/shallower curve than the stock fender; it changes the look of the frontend quite a bit.  Beauty is, that it's a simple bolt on; fender, brackets, mounting rings, and bolts are all that's are needed.  Well, a healthy checkbook if you buy directly from Ducati, but that goes for just about everything on our bikes.

another pic of it here http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=24487.0 along w/ the chainguard I made to match the fender brackets better.

dusty about to hit the same set of corners on her 03 M1000 Senna.
My wish when I die is to ride those 3 sets of S's & the double S coming into Ouray forever.  Heaven: no cars   Hell: Always a line of 'em (note to self, "be a good boy King").   Evil

Funny thing is, it had an ugly duckling roomate also, but I had to sell it since I could no longer afford both bikes.

Sure miss the off roading though.  This one took me to Alaska and back.
