The texture everywhere is incredible. Perhaps he's got the lighting just right plus some serious photoshop skills as well. I'm impressed. And jealous. I need to take the time to take some really good pictures of the bike (before I go and do something like crash).

Oh yeah, a photo that great takes a great amount of attention to many different details.  I was just reflecting (pun intended) on the primary importance of proper lighting.  After all, it's called photography for a reason; it's about graphing photons.

My guess would be so they "align", visually, with the back of the bike.....

IMO that is the right way to do it ;)
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

Just to contrast, an amateur photo of similar bike (mine) With full length Termis (already very loud, can't imagine how loud the short ones are)

Pretty sure he cut em...this is the bike that i have pinched a bunch o ideas from.  After I cut my Termis, IMO, they finally sounded the way that they should have in the first place.  Even did a vid and put it on the board somewheres.

let's see......
cut termis

Well done bike man! One of the best I've seen thus far!

Thanks guys.. as grandpanate said the termis were indeed chopped (immediately following the tailchop). As for the pic, I did spend a lot of time getting the picture's lighting just right but a lot of how it looks is from the HDR effect.. I added a how-to for anyone interested http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=34593.0  [drink]
