The new fork gives you more feedback and smoothness. Even in the cobblestone you have a very clean line instead the bike/fork bumping and get out of control

2 shims for lower triple clamp: 5â,¬/set
1 washer for front axle: 25â,¬

So, maybe the kit could cost around 50â,¬ (65$).

The holes are for the rotors screws. They fit between the wheel and the rotors
