I told an ATF friend of mine I was going to make a muffler for my HMR

he said

Great thread - way better than OCC.  That looks like a nice old lathe.  What make is it?  When I was a kid my Dad had one of those small old Craftsman lathes in the garage.  I figured out how to work it and used to make cannon barrels and match head rockets while he was at work.  Lucky I didn't blow my hand off with the rockets or cut it off on the lathe.  But it left me with a life long appreciation for metal working machines.

Actually, it's an old Craftsman/Dunlap lathe
