I have a very random request/favor to ask for you South Bayers...

Hello all!

So this is as shot in the dark and I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this (no, I'm not asking for a hard to reach itch to be scratched  ).

I live in downtown San Francisco and do not own a car. My 620 is my one and only. A couple weekends ago, I dropped my baby off @ Nichols in Milpitas for her 6K service. Although Desmoto and Munroe are here in the city, I decided to take my business to Nichols for their rave reviews here on the DML...err, DMF and Jim @ Nichols took the time out to talk to me about my bike before I even brought it down there.

Anyway, the service was done a week and half ago and now they're just babysitting it...since I don't have a car, getting to Nichols is a bit of a challenge. My worst case scenario is to take BART down to Fremont and hail a taxi to Nichols. But if there is a DMFer that happens to work around Fremont and heads towards Milpitas after work, it would be AWESOME if I can catch a ride. Since Nichols is closed Sun/Mon, I'm shooting for Tuesday afternoon (I'll be out of town Wed - Mon).

I'd be more than happy to provide some gas/beer money as well,

Like I said, I know this is an odd request and honestly a shot in the dark, but thought I'd throw it out there as I've had lots of great assistance in the past from the DML.

I'm closer to cal train (santa clara) and live in the direction of Nichols.... Around 5pm once im out of work.

I believe the Santa clara drop is close to my work.

If you want to take BART into Pleasanton and don't mind riding on the back of my ST2 25 miles to get there, I could drop you off.  It would work better for me around noon, or as late in the day as possible.

I'm always looking for an excuse to drop by Nichols and talk to Jim Davis.

Nichols is right down the street from me when I am working on this side of the Bay.

I don't have a car either so if you dont mind riding Cupcake I can drop you off there as well =)

Oh.. I can also borrow My fiancee parents car and pick you up near Fremont as well. Tuesday - Thursdays are normally good days for me.

I would love to touch my first Duc one last time.... Oh do I miss it

don't do it.  your bike will have the smell of bacon infused into every possible (and some impossible) parts of it.  you will NEVER be able to get the aroma out. 

of course, you run the risk of even more dire peril if you get a ride with DTM in a car with the windows rolled up and locked from the driver's side. 

safest bet is to take rob up on his offer.
