"Ride your own road in life don't follow"

Found Monster City Bars on the monsterparts.com web sight. Does anyone know if they will fit on a 2008 S2R 1000? I know they might look a tad silly but I'm an old guy and need all the help I can get to keep riding my Ducati.   Thanks

I'm pretty sure the city bars are 22mm's all the way vs the tapered stock S*R bars (22 - 29 - 22mm's). That makes it a no go Undecided

There might be some adapters/risers that would convert from 29mm to 22mm - search a bit or call Jeff at MonsterParts?

The problem though, is that you will likely need serious rerouting and/or new hoses and wires. 100mm/4" rise is a lot.

Some people have put on the tapered Rizoma bars http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/MA005/Bars-Mirrors/MA005.html
They will give you two inches rise and about an inch pull back - it will improve comfort drastically and I don't remember hearing about
serious routing issues.

As mentioned, they won't fit as you have a tapered handlebar and the 'city' bars are a straight 7/8" OD throughout.

The MV Agusta Brutale bars (which I've ridden with on a customers S2R800) were a nice amount of rise and pull back without looking odd, or 'ape-hanger-ish'.  But they're around $200 new...  Perhaps some bar risers are in order....

Check out rox risers. They raise the bar and allow you to pull it back toward you. I ended up getting protaper SE High bars. Your more than likely going to need to lengthend the throtte, choke, clutch, and brake line. Its ok as long as you stick no higher than 1.5 inch of bar risers.
